Paco
Hello! My name is Paco. I am a quiet, cuddly guy who loves to curl up under the blankets when it gets cold and go on walks around the neighborhood when it's warm! I have soft, mostly hairless skin- we think some fur might grow back with the help of a hypoallergenic diet but if not I just need to be kept out of the hot sun (sunburns aren't fun for dogs either!) and wear warm PJs in the cold. I have quite an endearing set of snaggleteeth which occasionally catch on my lip and make my foster mom giggle. I am well behaved, potty outside, and I love to be held. As a matter fact, I will sit perched in your lap and put my two front paws on your chest and just stare lovingly into your eyes, just so you know that you are my world. As much as I love to snuggle, I can also be fairly independent when needed. Once I know you are just going to the bathroom or to the kitchen, I stay in my pile of blankets and wait for your return. I’m very trustworthy left alone. I would do best in a quiet home with no small children. While I am a very nice dog, I do get scared sometimes. I came from a cat hoarder's house (I am a dog though, I promise) and it took me a long time to open up to the wonderful people at Denver Animal Shelter who rescued me. Now I know people can be trusted, but I still need someone who knows how to help shy dogs build confidence. I get along well with cats and other dogs, though considering my size and age I would do best with older, gentle big dogs or smaller dogs.
