Ollivander
Ollivander is an adorable possum-like creature, who is a shameless mama's boy and loves being the center of attention. He likes to say hello to dogs by screaming like some demon from the depths of hell, and while his intentions are good he doesn't tend to make many friends that way. Luckily, he has a brother- Lentil the Bean- who he can cuddle up with, and occasionally a naive puppy will respond positively to his screams of affection.
He came to us in January of 2017 from Adams County Animal Shelter, where he was found as a neglected, heavily-matted stray. He was underweight, had uncontrolled Cushing's Disease, and a significant heart murmur. Sophiane is well known for her tendency to show her love with food, so Ollie was at a healthy weight in no time!
After about eight months, Ollie's heart got much worse and his quality of life declined drastically- he spent most of the day exhausted and coughing, instead of racing around the house and screaming at doggie friends. Fortunately, between the efforts of our vet and the cardiologists at VRCC (along with 4 medications which he takes 2-3 times a day) he is back to normal! Well, his "normal". He's a pretty weird dog.
Ollie's Wishlist: poise pads (extra long), distilled white vinegar, mini marshmallows, meat-only baby food, and a puppy (pleeeeaaassseee).
